Today is packing and last-minute calls. Tomorrow our flight will leave at 8 am -- thank you Randall for taking us to the airport!! We are trying to pack for two people for two months in just three bags - one check through and two carry-ons! I'll let you know if that is actually possible later.
If all goes as planned we'll arrive in Seattle tomorrow evening. Carla's sister has just moved there for a new job and we hope to see (maybe even help them to move into) their new place before we head off to Juneau. Once that happens I'll set my first step onto a place I've dreamed about, read about, and yearned to see -- Alaska. Today I begin my voyage: "Into the Wild".
Except, it won't be so 'wild'. I received a message today that the new carpeting is being installed into the manse tomorrow. They've also added wi-fi and a new bed. I guess I'll have to save the 'roughing it' stories for another trip.
Carla and I won't arrive in Yakutat until June 3rd. First there will be two days in Seattle and two days in Juneau. We will keep our friends in Beaver-Butler in our prayers and we welcome yours.
Peace and God's Blessings,
Alan
